Somewhere in Akure, Ondo state, a man identified as Alhaji Kasali has been arrested by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), for assaulting his two children.

It was reported that Kasali who is currently enjoying his third marriage, pressed an hot iron on the stomach of his 9-year-old daughter Maryam and 6-year-old son, Ojonla because he was served his food without fish
Maryam revealed that Ojonla had eaten part of the fish while her step-mother ate the other but the woman was quick to defend herself saying that, the girl and her brother had eaten the only fish left in the pot. This made the man angry as he placed a knife on fire and when it was red/hot, he pressed it on their stomach
However, the children were rushed to the state hospital the NSCDC who later reported to the Welfare Development of the state Ministry of Women Affairs. The mother of the children, who have relocated to Osun state, has come to take her children.
