Christians protest, urge sack of service chiefs over killings

Christians across the country yesterday protested against the killings of their fellow believers and other innocent citizens in Benue State. Following the killing of two Catholic priests and 17 other worshippers in a church in Benue last week, the Christian Association (CAN), directed all Christians in the country to protest peacefully on their church premises, demanding an end to the callous disregard for human life. In compliance with the directive, the Christians in Ibadan, Oyo State yesterday staged a peace protest to condemn the Benue killings and passed a vote of no confidence in the service chiefs. Swisstrade spends N368m on road construction in Anambra

The Swisstrade Securities Nigeria Limited, a leading manufacturer of armoured security doors, said it spent N368 million for road construction in Anambra as party of its Corporate Social Responsibility. NPA, 2 Others Generate N2.751trn For FG In 2yrs

The anti-corruption posture of the present administration has started yielding fruits, with three federal government agencies operating in the nation’s maritime industry generating N2.751trillion in two years. The agencies, which include the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) and the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) generated N2.751trillion into the Consolidated Revenue Fund (CRF) coffers in 2016 and 2017, outstripping previous accruals. The revenue generated by these agencies in the year under review was unprecedented in the history of these agencies. Shock As Burning Electric Cable Falls On Resident In Yaba

There was pandemonium at the Tejuosho end of Lagos Mainland yesterday, Thursday, April 26, 2018, after an electric cable fell on a resident whose stall was directly under the pole. Eyes Of Lagos  gathered that residents of the community first noticed the fire on the electric cable when power was restored to the area. As a result of the electric spark, the pole caught fire leaving residents of the area to scamper for safety.
