The 6th Edition Of Building, Construction And Machinery Expo Begins In Lagos

Nigerian premier building, construction and machinery expo known as ‘Buildmacex’ has commenced its 6th edition in Lagos.

The annual event is the gathering of the finest brains in the building and construction, real estate, interior and exterior design and machinery.

Commenting on the development, the Managing Director of Atlantic Exhibition and the organiser of the expo, Mr. Ayodeji Olugbade said during the opening ceremony that the event was organised to promote interactions of participants with products and services to maximize business opportunities and partnership.

According to him, the fastest way to boost the country’s economy is through partnerships that will help businesses thrive revealing that the fare will feature a match making ceremony which will seek to help business in building and construction industry discover their business soul mates for limitless possibilities and profitable partnerships.

He urged all and sundry, especially those in related industry to avail themselves the opportunity of being at the fare to help promote Nigeria brands and companies within the building and construction sector.

“Buildmacex 2019 will feature majorly exhibitors from Nigeria and made in Nigeria brands. Notable exhibitors including JMG Limited, Isonem Nigeria, Waterproofing and insulation technologies, Permolit paints and Arksego Nigeria Limited amongst others will be there to showcase their products,” he said.

He added that; “This is an event no Nigerian should take for granted. It has over the years brought together over one thousand exhibitors and more than fifteen thousand visitors from Nigeria, Africa and around the world. This year’s edition is expected to be bigger and better. Come and celebrate and also promote made in Nigeria brands.”

In his remarks, the Chief Executive Officer of Sacvin Nigeria Limited, Sachin Ganglani called on Nigerians to start celebrating and showcasing their products saying they have been too dependent on imported goods.

Eyes Of Lagos reports gathered that, According to him, his companies have been in Nigeria for decades manufacturing quality made in Nigeria products that can compete anywhere in the world asking the citizenry to look inward and tap to every opportunity that abound within.

“We are inviting you to come and see our made in Nigeria products. Since we are in the market now, there is no need for importation because we are producing the same quality of imported goods”.

Also commenting, the Director Federation of Construction Industry FOCI, Mr. Fidelis Imoisili stated that no building constructed by any member of FOCI has ever collapsed because all the materials they use are from the exhibitors in the ongoing Buildmacex expo and are all made in Nigeria.
