Victor Ifeanyichukwu Chukwuemeka Aneme  (born June 18, 1990), better known by his stage name  Hydrachukwu, is a Nigerian Rapper, Songwriter and Actor. He began his career while in secondary school after forming a group called “Ultra Vivid” with his friend David Killian AKA Slimfaze in Kaduna before his professional career as a music artist began in 2006. He currently owns an independent record label called YAYANEH INCORPORATED. And he is the CEO of a shoe line called Drippytoes Nigeria. He released his debut single My Time featuring Slimfaze in 2010. Hydrachukwu was born in Kaduna South local government area of Badikko Kaduna to renowned Lawyer and Civil servant Barr and Mrs Emmanuel and Leaticia Aneme. Hydra completed his Basic/Primary school at Cherphem Nursery and primary school Kurmin Mashi Kaduna 2000 and secondary school education at Yisheng Schools Ungwan Sunday Kaduna State 2006. He attended University of Jos 2007-2008 and is also an alumnus of Caritas University Enugu Nigeria, having graduated with a 2:2 Second Class Lower Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication 2013. 

In 2006 Hydra and his group member SlimFaze (Ultra Vivid) released their first ever studio song titled One Chance Featuring Lll Shegs (Now known as Virus Detected) and it was produced by Slim Jay. And it followed immediately with a party banger called Shake my Body. He won the award for the best rapper in his secondary school graduating Party in 2006. Later in 2007 they dropped I don die and Dreamer. In 2008 Ultra Vivid won the Globedisk Talent hunt organised by Micheal Yusuf Micheal (MYM) and Obi Nweke in Kaduna. And n 2009 the group went solo. 

In 2010 Hydra released his debut single as a solo artist titled My Time featuring Slimfaze, the song gained massive airplay on radio in the Northern parts of Nigeria Jos, Kaduna and Abuja to be precise.  In the course of all this he was a student of the University of Jos where he was studying For a diploma in Mass Communication. While in Jos he joined a Theatre group called MASSCOT (Mass Communication Students theatre) and he served as the Executive Welfare Officer of the group. Hydrachukwu also contested in his department’s Maccosa (Mass communication students association) Elections for the post of the Sales Secretary but lost. 

Hydrachukwu proceeded to Caritas University Enugu (A Catholic university and sister school to Madonna University)  for his degree program in Mass Communication. He joined another theatre group called CT House (Caritas Theatre House) and was very popular in school Playing the lead roles in major School plays on stage. While there he won the award for Best musician in the Caritas Talent hunt 2011. He also won the award for Best pop Artist at The Greenworld Entertainment Award in Kaduna 2012.During the Easter of 2012 he Performed on stage with the winners of Star quest 2010 Jukebox at the Kennis Music Easter Fiesta.

In 2013 he won the Award for the Best Actor of Mass Communication department 2013 Hydra served in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) at Akwa Ibom State and also won the contest for the best Musician in the Orientation Camp at the talent hunt competition. His place of primary assignment was The Akwa Ibom Ministry of Environment and Mineral Resources. He also served as the Provost and later the Secretary General of the Akwa ibom State NYSC Charity CDS group. 

In early 2015 Hydra dropped what seemed to be his biggest hit titled Agbalagba and immediately the song was received by fans around the world with open hands and this catapulted him to the top of the food chain of Rappers to be reckoned with in Nigeria. After his service year he moved  to Lagos where he acquired a diploma in Music and Audio production at HPTFA (Helen Paul Theatre and film academy) That same year (2015) he emerged overall winner at the Planet TV Bars rap competition. He appeared in a golden morn advert alongside Helen Paul this same year. 

Later in September 2015 Hydrachukwu made an opening performance at the September Industry nite alongside 5 star music all star Kcee, Harry song and Skiibii. 

Hydrachukwu has since then featured in many Movies and soap operas. In 2016 he got signed to BFN Worldwide (Big Famous and Natural) where He was part of a 5 man group known as BFN All-star. And they went ahead to drop hit songs like Agbada Swag (2016) and Transaction featuring Skales (2017).  Amidst all these he was also a Member of his church drama team called Unveil and has ministered on various stage plays around Lagos. 

In 2018 HYDRA dropped a solo project which became another hit song titled NorNor and these again cemented his place amongst one of the best artist in Nigeria. Same year he featured in a major Nigerian Television hit series Called Super Story and other movie projects like The Return of the King for ROK TV and Tinsel for Africa Magic/Mnet Africa. 

In 2019 he moved to the United Arab Emirates (Dubai) for greener pastures and has since performed on various stages in the UAE Dubai and Ajman to be precise. Alongside Nigerian superstar like Davido, Zlatan ibile, Mayorkun, 9ice, Small Doctor, Slimcase, BaddyOsha etc. He was also a member of True house Comedy group (The leading Nigerian Comedy group in the UAE) but left later in early 2020. 

He dropped a song late August 2020 titled Anyanya and has it became an instant hit. But fans round the world raised eyebrows to the song because of its content and the vulgar message it passed.
