Nollywood sensation Funke Akindele has once again made history, with her latest film, Everybody Loves Jenifa, becoming the highest-grossing Nollywood movie of all time. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

The movie, which went head-to-head with Toyin Abraham’s Alakada: Bad and Boujee and other notable films, has achieved an extraordinary feat. FilmOne, the distributor of the film, took to Instagram to announce the milestone, drawing widespread acclaim for Akindele.

“Everybody Loves Jenifa has officially reached a historic ₦1.466 billion and counting at the box office, making it the highest-grossing film of all time! A massive THANK YOU to our incredible audiences in Nigeria and Ghana for making this dream a reality! Your support means everything. On to even greater heights! The film crossed the ₦1 billion mark in less than two weeks, cementing Akindele’s reputation as a trailblazer in Nollywood.

This achievement follows her record-breaking success last year with A Tribe Called Judah, the first Nollywood film to surpass the ₦1 billion milestone. Akindele’s ongoing dominance at the Nigerian box office solidifies her status as the reigning queen of Nollywood.
