Lady Ghosts Boyfriend Who Funded Her UK Studies, Gets Pregnant for Another Man
A Nigerian woman has ignited massive outrage on social media after openly admitting that she ghosted and blocked her boyfriend who sponsored her relocation to the United Kingdom for a Master’s degree, only to later get pregnant for another man. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
The shocking confession was shared via a post on X (formerly Twitter) and has since gone viral, drawing mixed reactions from Nigerians online.
According to the woman, her boyfriend, who was based in Nigeria, sold his car, land, and emptied his life savings to finance her tuition, relocation, and living expenses in the UK.
She explained that they both agreed she would first relocate, settle in the UK, secure a job, and later file for him as a dependent, so they could reunite and build a life together in Birmingham, away from the pressures of Lagos.
However, the woman said her perspective changed shortly after arriving in the UK.
She described the experience as cold, lonely, and emotionally draining, noting that life abroad was far from the glamorous picture she had imagined.
According to her, the distance gradually weakened their relationship, and she eventually cut off all communication, blocking her boyfriend across all platforms without explanation.
The controversy deepened after the woman revealed that she later got pregnant for another man, a development that sparked intense backlash online.
Many social media users accused her of betrayal, emotional manipulation, and exploitation, especially considering the sacrifices her former partner made to support her education and future.
While most reactions condemned her actions, a few users argued that life abroad can drastically change people and relationships, especially when expectations clash with reality.
Others, however, maintained that gratitude and honesty should have guided her actions instead of silence and abandonment.
The post has since reignited conversations around long-distance relationships, migration struggles, emotional accountability, and the sacrifices many Nigerians make for loved ones pursuing opportunities abroad.
