The Peoples Democratic Party has won a federal constituency seat in Rivers state
– The seat was won after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Boma Godhead winner
– This is the second seat the party has won since the collation of the state’s rerun election results
The Peoples Democratic Party has yet won another seat in the Rivers state rerun election.
Premium Times reports that the seat for Asari-Toru/ Akuku-Toru federal constituency has been won by Boma Godhead.
Godhead was declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday, December 12.
She was said to have defeated Dawari George of the All Progressives Congress.
The PDP had earlier won the Okirika/ Ogu/ Bolo federal constituency seat.
Gogo Tamuno was declared winner against Maureen Tamuno of the APC.
This fresh win brings the number of tickets won by PDP to two.
Also, the APC has won two seat in the federal constituency.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian army has denied allegation of misconduct and intimidation of voters by security operatives in the state.
The army also debunked alleged killing of scores of civilians in Rivers state.
