Governor Ambode should reduce price of rice to N7000/bag – Nigerian prophet

Popular Nigerian prophet, Elijah Babatunde Ayodele, has advised Governor Akinwunmi Ambode to reduce the price of rice he intends to sell to Lagosians by N6000.
In a chat with our correspondent on Thursday, the spiritual head of INRI Evangelical Ministry, noted that he expects the Lagos state governor to do more than the N13,000 the government wants to sell a bag of rice to residents of the state.
About a week ago, the state government had announced a partnership deal with Kebbi state government to sell rice to residents of Lagos for N13,000 during this yuletide to ease the expenses of Lagosians as the demand for rice would be on the rise in this festive period.

One of the governor’s special advisers who reveal that, the said the commodity named Lake rice, would arrive on December 13 and distribution to local government areas within the state would start in earnest.
But Primate Ayodele believes the governor has the ability to reduce the price of the staple food to about N7,000 if he truly means to ease the pains and suffering of the people ahead of the festivities.
“The Lagos state governor has done well by reducing the price of a bag of rice and asking people to pay for it at a much cheaper rate. But I don’t think that is the best the governor can do for the masses who voted him into power.
“The only way I think he can make Lagosians happy this yuletide is by reducing the price of rice further to about N7,000 so that many more people can have the opportunity of getting their houses filled,” the Primate stated.
When reminded that the Lake rice was a joint effort by the Lagos state government and their Kebbi counterpart, he retorted that Governor Ambode still has more chances of reducing the price of the item.
He said: “If as an individual, I can buy 3,000 bags of rice and plan to give out to widows on Christmas Day, I don’t see anything wrong in the governor ensuring that the people buy bags of rice at a much cheaper rate.
“I will not respect any governor who cannot make sure the indigenes of the state are properly treated even as Nigerians continue to groan under the present economic recession.”
Primate Ayodele also took the time to remind Nigerians about the predictions he made ahead of the recently-concluded Ghanaian election which saw the incumbent lose his seat to a new leadership.

“Recall that in my ‘Warning to all Nations’ book for this year on Page 122, I warned the incumbent president as I stated that the election in Ghana will take a totally different dimension.
“In the book, I wrote ‘The president must brace up to secure his second term in office. I foresee economic challenges in Ghana as the economy will be faced with difficult hiccups’.
“I also wrote series of letters to President Mahama, warning him about the possible outcome of the elections but all my warnings fell on deaf ears. The rest is now history,” the man of God stated.
About one month ago, the prophet also listed some deputy governors who would betray their bosses because of selfish interests as they would also want to become governors themselves.
