Governor of Abia state Okezie Ikpeazu has won the best Crime Bursting Governor award while the state police command led by Commissioner of Police Leye Oyebade received same award as the Best crime bursting police command in Nigeria.
The awards were received in South Africa on behalf of the Governor in an event organised by Security Watch Africa in recognition of successes recorded in the area of security and crime fighting by the present administration.
Governor Ikpeazu commended the police command and other security agencies for their aggressive approach to issues of crime fighting.
