The Lagos state government has started the repair and rehabilitation of the inner roads damaged during the construction of Abule Egba Bridge.
The construction of the bridge, which was completed last month, led to the damage of many of the inner roads which has resulted to traffic congestion in the communities. The residents pleaded with the government to help fix the roads to make life easier for them.
Less than two weeks after the Governor made the pronouncement that the roads will be fixed during the commissioning of the Abule Egba flyover bridge, contractors have moved to site to begin the repair of the inner roads in Abule egba including Charity Road.
The rehabilitation of the roads is expected to further enhance traffic flow in the area for improved movement around the axis.
While commending the Governor, a resident of Ile Ogbo in Abule Egba, praised the governor for keeping his words, saying the development brought relief to people in the area.
Another resident, who is a shop owner in the area, said the transformation being witnessed in Abule Egba and environs was unprecedented in the history of the state.
