Some residents of Oshodi community were left stunned over the weekend as operatives of the Nigerian Airforce stormed the neighbourhood to engage in a community service in collaboration with the local government.
Eyes Of Lagos gathered that, The Airforce personnel from Sam Ethan Airforce Base, Ikeja, Lagos Mainland, extended the community service to Oshodi and Isolo communities, engaging in sanitation exercise along Adeyemi street and Oba elewu road.
In addition, the Airforce team conducted free medical outreach at the Oshodi resettlement market to the delight of the onlookers.
The exercise was attended by officials of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government led by the council boss Hon. Idris Bolaji Muse Ariyoh and the leader of the House, Hon.Rasheed Obasa.
At the end of the exercise, residents of the community were full of appreciation to the men of the Airforce and solicited for more collaboration with the officers and to to extend other services such as free vocational and technical training, computer education and more to the community,
In his remark, the council boss, Hon. Idris Bolaji Muse Ariyoh thanked the Nigeria Airforce for their gesture to Oshodi community and assured residents of adequate security of lives and property in the community.
“We thank the men of Nigeria Airforce for their show of love to our community and we hope to improve on the existing relationship between us. My administration would continue to come up with collaboration and services that would bring smiles to the faces of our people,” he said.
Meanwhile, the council head stressed that road maintenance team of the local government will continue the rehabilitation of damaged section on Adeyemi street from Ogunoloko to Furniture bus stop and Mukandansi street.
