Ahead of Saturdays February 23rd presidential and parliamentary elections the Federal Government has declared Friday public holiday excluding bankers.
So come Friday February 22nd, there’s a public holiday for everyone but bankers and those providing and those offering essential services across the nation.
The Minister of Interior, Lt.- Gen.Abdulrahman Dambazau on Wednesday revealed this via a statement;
“Federal Government declares Friday 22, February 2019 as work-free day. Those providing essential duties and bankers are excluded.The work-free day is to enable citizens return to their poling units for the reschedule Presidential & National Assembly elections.Security agencies have been directed to ensure safety of lives & property before, during & after the general election.”
