The unresolved case surrounding the tragic deaths of Chinyere Ogudoro and her brother Ifeanyi Njokure has been a source of great anguish for the past two years. Allegedly, Chinyere’s husband, Mr. Benjamin Ogudoro, is accused of burning them to death. The court proceedings for this case are set to resume on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, with the pathologist and the Investigating Police Officer (IPO) expected to provide testimony.
The impact of this incident on Chinyere’s children and Ifeanyi’s wife and children has been devastating. These individuals have had to endure immense emotional trauma, with the loss of their mother further compounding their grief as they seek justice.
To aid in the pursuit of justice, the Lagos Branch of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) and the Lagos State Government have actively supported the case. Their involvement aims to ensure that justice is served promptly, offering solace to the affected family and friends and allowing the souls of the deceased to find peace.
