The controversial musician Naira Marley is dealing with fresh criticism after making fun of his late former signee Mohbad in a Zinoleesky song that was just published.
As was previously mentioned, Mohbad commemorated the first anniversary of his tragic death, one year after the investigation that produced no conclusive results. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
In a newly released song called Abanikanda, which features Naira Marley, the head of Marlian Records made a comment that some people found unkind.
In a passage from the song, the singer—who was labeled a suspect in Mohbad’s case—suggested that the late singer was a “opposition (could also mean enemy) that should be left in the casket.”
He said, “Leave that opp boy inna casket.”
Since then, the song’s lyrics have infuriated followers of the late Mohbad, who have denounced the Marlian Boss for being callous and harassing his former signee even after his passing.
An X user, @Veekaysss wrote, “This is enough evidence to declare them Killers of Mohbad, but this is Nigeria💔.”
Another user, @topetyez_ added, “He didn’t have to say that line at all tbh very unnecessary.”
