NNPC has announced an increase in the pump price Lagos at N950/L, Borno N1019/L

The price of petrol at the pump will increase, according to the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

 

The firm said in an early statement on September 16 that the pump price of gasoline taken from the Dangote refinery and sold at its retail outlets is N950.22 per liter, N1,019 per liter in Borno, and N992.22 per liter in the Federal Capital Territory.

 

According to a statement made public by Olufemi Soneye, the company’s chief corporate communication officer, PMS prices are negotiated directly and on an arm’s length basis between partners, in accordance with the terms of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA). Eyes Of Lagos reports,

The statement further stated that since Naira transactions won’t start until October 1st, 2024, it is paying Dangote Refinery in USD for September 2024 PMS offtake.

 

In the event that the quoted pricing is contested, the NNPC Ltd. stated that it would be appreciative of any discount from the Dangote Refinery and would fully distribute it to the people. Starting on Sunday, September 16, NNPC started removing gasoline from the Dangote refinery.
