The office of Professor Tahir Mamman, the Minister of Education, has declared that unauthorized individuals are abusing the Minister’s WhatsApp number due to hacking.
Boriowo Folasade, the Director of Press & Public Relations, sent a statement on Friday on behalf of the ministry confirming that the issue has been reported to authority. It is advised that everyone be on the lookout for any unusual activities pertaining to the compromised phone. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
The message said: “The public is hereby notified by the Office of the Honorable Minister of Education, Professor Tahir Mamman, that the Minister’s WhatsApp number has been compromised and is being utilized by unauthorized users.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and until further notice, we ask everyone to ignore any requests or messages received from the aforementioned number.
The issue is being looked into and has been reported to the appropriate authorities. All members of the public are urged to exercise caution and report any suspicious activities.
