Following a 24-hour ultimatum, Falz’s sister Folakemi will take VDM to court.

The rapper Falz’s sister, Folakemi Falana, who is the daughter of renowned legal expert Femi Falana, has declared that she intends to sue VeryDarkMan (VDM) for failing to “do the needful” within a day.

Through their attorneys, Falz and Mr. Femi Falana wrote a letter to VDM on September 25, asking for an apology and the withdrawal of his claims about a supposed audio chat with Bobrisky. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

But according to VDM, he didn’t disparage Falz or his father.

“My parents and our firm, Falana & Falana, have been applying for presidential pardons for Nigerians absolutely free way before a lot of you were born or before you could talk,” Folakemi said on Instagram recently, expressing her frustration. Slides 1 and 2 are from 2016 and 2022, respectively.

“It’s absurd that some Nigerians act like they can’t read or think for themselves,” she went on. It’s regrettable.

Folakemi berated how easily people forget her family’s honor when they are confronted with unfounded charges.

It’s even crazier that all it takes is for a ridiculous character like VDM to accuse my dad and Falz of bribery, corruption, and perversion of the course of justice, and you suddenly forget who they are and what they stand for,” she said. “For him to have the audacity to go as far as even accusing Falz of being homosexual and having an affair with Bobrisky is wild. The fact that some of you actually believe it is what is blowing my mind.”

She clarified that anyone can write to the president requesting a pardon for a convicted person in Nigeria, asserting, “You don’t even need to be a lawyer to apply for a pardon. That said, Bobrisky never approached anyone in my family or our firm for a presidential pardon.”

To emphasize her point, Folakemi outlined several facts:

1. “My dad has never met or talked to Bobrisky, whether directly or via a proxy.”

2. “Bobrisky reached out to Falz the same way he reached out to many other

celebrities asking for money. The reason he gave was so that he could afford to stay in the VIP section of prison. He never discussed a presidential pardon with him. He said he was reaching out from prison, and Falz had no reason to believe otherwise.”

3. “Do you really think my dad or Falz need Bob’s money? For what?”

Folakemi concluded her statement with a clear message: “Seeing as you have refused to do the needful, @verydarkblackman, see you in court.”
