A Nigerian woman’s husband lost all of her money betting on Chelsea, so she got into a furious dispute with him about it.
A video of the altercation on TikTok has gone viral, adding to the growing attention around the incident. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
The report claims that the disagreement started after the husband stole the money from the wife for bets on Chelsea defeating Manchester United as well as on Aston Villa winning.
“The guy took the girl’s last card to play Chelsea to win and over 2.5 goals, Aston Villa to win Manchester United with over 1.5 goals,” the accompanying text says. Since Sunday, we have been attempting to resolve this issue.
Additional background was given by the original poster, who mentioned that the husband’s wife had regularly denied him meals.
In retaliation, he decided to steal her money and place a bet, hoping to win enough to buy food for himself. “The girl is the one looking for trouble. If the guy buys food, she will eat alone. That’s why he used her last card to bet, to see if he could win money for another meal,” he explained.
