Prominent in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, Alhaji Badmus was descended from the Adekilekun dynasty in the Isale-Osun neighborhood of the city. For the community, his passing signifies the end of an era.
He was the older brother of well-known businessman Alhaji Khamis Olatunde Badmus, who is also known as Asiwaju Musulumi of Yorubaland and the Chairman of TUNS FARM. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

In 2022, Alhaji Badmus succeeded Pa Ahmed Omidiran as Osogboland’s Asiwaju. The same year, Pa Omidiran, another well-known business magnate, died at the age of 95.
