Police have rearrested controversial rapper Speed Darlington during his performance in Owerri, following his return to Nigeria from the United States.
Eyes Of Lagos reports recalls that the rapper’s previous arrest stemmed from remarks he made about singer Burna Boy. After being released, Speed Darlington moved back to the U.S., where he continued making statements about Burna Boy, even retracting his earlier apology to the artist.
According to his lawyer, Adeyanju Deji, Speed Darlington was apprehended while at his show in Owerri, Imo State.
Deji Adeyanju shared the news, writing:
“BREAKING: Our client Speed Darlington a.k.a AKPI has been arrested by the Nigerian police in Owerri at his show upon returning to Nigeria.”
