President Bola Tinubu met with former Nigerian Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan in Ghana on Tuesday, where they attended the swearing-in of Ghana’s new President, John Mahama. Mahama’s victory marked the end of two terms under the New Patriotic Party, led by outgoing President Nana Akufo-Addo. His primary rival, Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, conceded defeat following the December 8 elections. During the inauguration, President Tinubu underlined the significance of collaboration between the two nations, sharing his hope that Mahama’s presidency would usher in an era of mutual prosperity.

The ceremony, which saw the participation of African and global leaders, celebrated Ghana’s peaceful transfer of power and its strong reputation for democratic stability.
