Asake Named Nigeria’s Top-Selling Artist of 2024″

Grammy-nominated sensation Asake has been recognized as Nigeria’s top-selling artist for 2024, surpassing the country’s major music icons. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

Based on the yearly chart by Nigeria’s leading music publication, TurnTable, Asake emerged as the top artist, achieving an impressive third straight year as the overall No. 1 performer.

This groundbreaking accomplishment makes Asake the first Nigerian artist to secure the top spot for three consecutive years.

Asake’s Project Milestones

Throughout 2024, Asake’s works, including his earlier albums Mr. Money With The Vibe (MMWTV) and Work of Art, continued to perform well, maintaining strong positions in the top ten of the Official Top 100 Albums chart.

His third album, Lungu Boy, stood out as the defining project of the year, holding the No. 1 spot for 15 weeks and finishing as the best-selling album of 2024, despite being released in August.

Radio Dominance

For the second year in a row, Asake was crowned the No. 1 radio artist of 2024, finishing with the highest total chart points on the Official Nigeria Top 100 chart.

His hit collaboration “MMS” with Wizkid topped the Year-End Afro-R&B chart and made a strong debut at No. 1 on the Official Nigeria Top 100 chart, where it stayed for three weeks.

Streaming Success

On streaming platforms, Asake’s dominance was undeniable. He wrapped up 2024 as the top artist on Apple Music, with Lungu Boy leading the charge. The album also dominated Audiomack, and Asake was named the No. 1 artist on YouTube in Nigeria.
