Madhavi, a resident of Meerpet, Hyderabad, was reported missing on January 16. Her husband, Gurumurthy—an ex-serviceman and security guard at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO)—even joined his in-laws to file a missing person’s report on January 18, trying to mislead authorities.
However, as the police intensified their search, they became suspicious of Gurumurthy’s inconsistent statements. Upon further questioning, he finally confessed to the gruesome crime!
A Marriage Marred by Conflict 💔
According to investigators, the couple, married for 13 years with two children, had been arguing frequently before the shocking incident. On January 16, after a heated argument, Gurumurthy allegedly killed Madhavi in a fit of rage.
Though he has detailed his horrific actions, police are still verifying his claims as no body parts have been recovered yet.
