Concerned residents of Mushin community, Lagos Mainland staged a protest against the National Legal Adviser of All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Muiz Banire, who is one of the political leaders for the party in Mushin and Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye at the party secretariat in Acme, Ikeja, Lagos Mainland.
According to the party stakeholders in the community, Dr. Banire was alleged to be the brain behind the Fouad Oki led parallel state congress which rocked the party in May 2018.
Eyes Of Lagos gathered that, According to the protesters, Dr. Banire in his days as political leader in Mushin and Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye, was fond of imposing candidates on party members. The party members cited the imposition of Late Adepitan, former Chairman of Mushin LGA and Hon. Funmi Tejuosho against the winner Hon. Rasaq Ajala for the House of Assembly, Mushines reports.
In addition, the stakeholders alleged that Dr. Banire was playing politics against the wishes of the party leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who has made him who he is today and called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate into his overnight riches.
Furthermore, the protesters expressed their displeasure on the actions of the legal luminary adding that the role he is playing at the national level is not beneficial to members of his constituency.
