Following their confirmation by the Senate, President Muhammadu Buhari, has approved some appointments, including that of Mr Anthony Okechukwu Ojukwu, as the executive secretary of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC). Eyes Of Lagos gathered that, This is contained in a statement by the permanent secretary, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Olusegun A. Adekunle. The appointments include that of executive secretary, National Human Rights Commission, Mr. Anthony Okechukwu Ojukwu who is from Imo State from the South East geopolitical zone for an initial term of five years. Mr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa from Ondo State in South West was appointed Non-Executive Director, Niger Delta Development Commission for initial term of four years, while Hon. Chika Ama, Nwauwa from Imo State in the South East was appointed Non-Executive Director, Niger Delta Development Commission for initial term of four years. Others are Mr. Nwogu N. Nwogu from Abia State in the South East who was appointed Non-Executive Director, Niger Delta Development Commission for initial term of four years and Professor James Momoh from Edo State in the South South who was appointed Chairman, Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission for initial term of five years. He said the appointments take immediate effect.
