Barely 24 hours after Comrade Olusesan Daini, Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA assumed office to begin work, some men pretending to be LTV press men visited his office under the pretence of conducting an interview session.
Eyes Of Lagos gathered that, The alleged fake LTV Crew were reported to have been seen within the Council premises granting interview to two of the newly elected councillors, Mathew Arowolo and Monsuru Kolejo. Shortly after their fictitious interview, they proceeded to the Chairman’s office who on suspecting their scam, alerted security operatives who swung into action immediately and began to quiz the suspects.
when the suspects were searched, 8 sim cards, toothpastes and toothbrushes along with a list containing the phone numbers and names of top politicians were found in their bags.
Speaking on the arrests, the Chairman admitted that the suspects almost succeeded in cajoling him to follow them to Ibeshe where a family of five was brutally murdered by the Badoo gang recently. Perhaps, this could have been a kidnap attempt, he stated.
The angry mob that gathered at the scene were about to effect jungle justice on the suspects before the Chairman intervened; preventing them from taking laws into their hands before security operatives arrived to carry the suspects away for further interrogation.
