Jonkin Chibuzor, who is the suspected leader of a kidnap gang in Rivers State, Jonkin Nkwuozor, was on Friday arraigned before a Magistrate’s Court, for allegedly killing an operative of the DSS, Reuben Uzoma, and kidnapping his wife, two children and sister-in-law. .
The suspect was said to have carried out the act in company with two other gang members, Okechukwu Onyegbosi and Mike Ogu, on November 16, 2016, on the Ngor-Okpala-Etche road in Etche LGA of Rivers State. .
Chibuzor and the two others were charged to court on eight counts, which included murder of a DSS official. It was gathered that the accused persons later freed the wife, children and sister-in-law of the DSS operative after killing him. .
The kidnap gang members were later apprehended by the DSS operatives when they tried to sell the Toyota Venza car belonging to the deceased. A source said Uzoma had earlier shot and killed two members of the kidnap gang when they attempted to stop him. .

Unknown to him, one of the kidnappers was coming behind him and he was shot with a pump action gun.
