A statement from the Association of Movie Producers (AMP) announced that Adanma Luke has been suspended indefinitely.
Remember how late actor Junior Pope was supposed to appear in a movie that Adanma Luke was producing? Sadly, he passed away in a boat accident.
On April 10, in Asaba, Delta state, Pope and four other people lost their lives after slipping into the River Niger on their way to a filming location.
AMP has formed a nine-member committee to investigate the circumstances surrounding the murders of Junior Pope and other individuals, as stated in a statement signed by Queen Blessing Ebigieson, the organization’s national president, and released on Monday. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
The statement also added that Adanma has been advised to suspend all work, “pending the submission of the investigations report and the final decision is taken.”
AMP also sympathized with the families of those who lost their lives as a result of the boat mishap.
The statement read in part:
“Following this tragic incident, AMP has set up a nine-man committee to investigate all activities that led to the death of these practitioners on the set of the movie, Another side of Life!
“Meanwhile, the producer, Adamma Luke, is hereby advised to suspend all work pending on the submission of the investigations report, and the final decision is taken.
“As we mourn our fellow filmmakers, we ask for calm from all sectors, stakeholders, and the public.”
