Senator Abbo threatens to sue a woman, saying that he “made sex tapes” with her

Recently, Senator Elisha Abbo of Adamawa North made headlines when she threatened to sue Wange David for her claims that they had collaborated on making sex recordings.

David claimed in a recent interview that she had made 32 sex recordings with Abbo and that he was the only one who had access to one of the videos that he had posted online. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

Senator Abbo threatens legal action against woman alleging he 'made sex tapes' with her

Abbo has denied these claims, though. In a formal response to David’s claims, Abbo’s attorney, Odiyowvi Osusu, stated that the statements had seriously damaged Abbo’s reputation both personally and professionally and had misled the public.

The letter emphasizes that on September 4, 2024, the video in question was posted on the “Naija Police: U” platform, and that same day aired an interview on YouTube.

Osusu has insisted that David apologize and recant his statements in public within the next 72 hours. The conditions of this retraction are subject to approval by Abbo’s legal team and must be shown on national television and published in three national newspapers. Furthermore, the retraction ought to be shared on the same channels as the original content.

Failure to comply within the given timeframe will lead to legal action seeking damages for libel, an injunction to prevent further publications, and a court-ordered retraction and public apology.

The letter warns that if a satisfactory response is not received, legal proceedings will be initiated against David.
