Following a string of difficulties with her management, Nollywood actress Ramota Adeotu, also referred to as Aunty Ramota, appeals to Nigerians for help.
Aunty Ramota sobbed as she described how she is currently stranded without shelter in a video posted by philanthropist Agiye Amira, also known on Instagram as Isaamira Food Bank. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
The actress revealed that she is currently homeless after being sent packing by her helper who recently got married and needed their personal space.
To make matters worse, the man who had been helping her build a house abruptly stopped due to personal issues. Adding to her woes, Aunty Ramota claimed that her management had stolen all her money and deleted her social media accounts, including TikTok, cutting off a source of her income and exposure.
Aunty Ramota expressed deep frustration, noting that despite working hard, her management took advantage of her.
In her words, “I’m currently stranded without accommodation. The lady I was staying with got married last month, and she asked me to leave because her husband wasn’t comfortable with me staying there.
“The man who was helping me build my house stopped because of personal issues. To make things worse, my management stole all the money I had. They even deleted my TikTok and every other social media account.
I worked so hard, but they kept cheating me because they thought I wouldn’t know how much we were really making. Now, I don’t even have enough to rent a place.
Someone kindly offered to rent a space for me, but I told them I want to finish building my house, even if it’s just one room, so I can finally have a place to call my own”.
