How It All Started

The drama began after clips of the alleged lookalike performing at local events went viral. Reports claimed the impersonator had collected up to ₦250,000 per appearance — a figure Portable scoffed at, saying it was far below what his name is worth.

Portable emphasized that he remains open to all legitimate bookings, but warned that anyone impersonating him was not only stealing money but also damaging his reputation.

“If they call me for show, I go go o. But nobody should dey chop money for my head,” he said.
