Iyabo Ojo Celebrates Newly Renovated Business Months After Fire Incident
Nollywood actress and entrepreneur Iyabo Ojo has been showered with love and congratulatory messages from fans and colleagues after unveiling the renovation of her business, months after it was gutted by fire. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
In July, Ojo’s office and lounge were engulfed in flames — a moment she shared in a heartbreaking video online. Despite the loss, she expressed gratitude to the Nigerian Fire Service and her staff for salvaging part of the property. Above all, she thanked God for sparing lives, noting that while the devil tested her, “divine mercy prevailed.”

On Saturday evening, the actress returned to Instagram with a video showcasing the newly renovated lounge, writing with joy and relief:
“Thank you Lord, to you be all the glory.”
Controversy After the Fire
The July incident stirred controversy when some men in Lagos took to the streets, chanting curses against Iyabo in connection with the death of late singer Mohbad.
Reacting, Iyabo clarified that she never directly accused anyone of being responsible for Mohbad’s passing. She lamented how, over the years, certain individuals had openly wished her dead, called for the destruction of her businesses, and even targeted her children — without intervention from authorities.

Despite the challenges, the actress continues to receive unwavering support. Her best friend, Lola Alao, described her as a “kind-hearted and generous soul who always puts others first.”
