RCCG Pastor Allegedly Vanishes With $8,000 Church Fund, Relocates to U.S. and Marries New Wife—Folu Adeboye Cries Out

A Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) pastor has been accused of vanishing with $8,000 meant for church land, abandoning his wife, and starting a new life with another woman in the United States. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

This shocking revelation came from none other than Pastor Folu Adeboye, the wife of the revered General Overseer, Pastor E.A. Adeboye. Her emotional account was shared during a ministration at a men’s program organized by RCCG—and it has since gone viral.

🎥 The Viral Video

In the video, Pastor Folu didn’t mince words. She disclosed that the pastor, originally from Ekiti State, had been stationed in Cape Town, South Africa, where he was overseeing a parish.

But instead of using the $8,000 to purchase a permanent site for the church, he allegedly fled with the money—leaving behind his wife in despair and resurfacing in the U.S. with a new bride.

“The woman he abandoned in South Africa is presently in a terrible state now, almost running mad,” Folu Adeboye lamented.

😡 “RCCG Men, What Are We Going To Do?”

With visible concern and righteous anger, Pastor Folu challenged the integrity of the men in the church.

“Are we going to continue with such a lying spirit, a deceitful spirit to the God of the kingdom?”

She called for accountability, repentance, and integrity, reminding everyone that spiritual titles don’t cover up moral failures.

📍Internal Disgrace, Public Spectacle

The scandal has left many RCCG members speechless, sparking a mix of sympathy for the abandoned wife and outrage at the betrayal of trust. Several netizens online are calling for disciplinary action and a proper investigation by the church leadership.

🚨 A Pattern or One-Time Case?

Though RCCG has built a reputation for discipline and spiritual order, this isn’t the first time a clergy member has faced serious allegations. The case raises a broader question: Are churches doing enough to screen and hold pastors accountable, especially those stationed abroad?
