A Nigerian student, Adeshina Shalom Ololade, has captured national attention after achieving an exceptional academic record, yet faces financial challenges that may prevent him from pursuing higher education.

Struggling to Access Higher Education
Shalom’s plight was shared on Twitter by @Iamowolewa, who claims to have the consent of Shalom’s parents. According to the post, the young scholar is on the verge of starting the university admission process but lacks the financial means to enroll.
The tweet quickly went viral, attracting widespread support from Nigerians impressed by his academic achievements.
“Shalom’s parents are seeking sponsorship opportunities to ensure their son’s brilliance is not wasted due to poverty,” @Iamowolewa explained.
Community Steps In to Support
The Twitter post also revealed that Shalom previously completed his secondary education with help from a friend’s parents. At one point, his father had even considered withdrawing him from school due to financial difficulties, but timely intervention prevented this.
Included in the post was a letter from Shalom’s secondary school, confirming his academic excellence and noting that the school had waived the remaining debt owed by his parents.
Many Nigerians have responded positively, offering support and tagging organizations that could provide scholarships, grants, or other sponsorship opportunities to help Shalom continue his education.
