Troll Calls Reekado Banks a ‘Failed Artiste’ for Going to Church — He Responds

Nigerian singer Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon, popularly known as Reekado Banks, has fired back at a troll who mocked him for attending church, suggesting it was because he had failed in the music industry. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

The drama started after popular content creator Kesari revealed on Instagram that he was considering drawing closer to God but was unsure whether to embrace Christianity or Islam. In response, Reekado Banks invited him to his church.

Shortly after, a troll ridiculed the singer’s invitation, claiming his churchgoing was proof of his decline in the music scene. Reekado Banks quickly dismissed the jab, stressing that his faith is personal and not a reflection of his career.

The singer, who rose to fame after winning the Headies Next Rated Award in 2015, has remained active in the Nigerian music industry with several hit singles and collaborations. His response has since drawn support from fans who applauded him for openly identifying with his faith despite public criticism.
