Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh via her foundation is set to feed 10,000 people in Abuja during the yuletide period.
Tonto Dike in a statement with Ngg.ng said,
The festive season of Christmas is around the corner and it’s a time to spread love and positivity to our family and friends, but more than this, it should be a time that we also show love to the less privileged and physically challenged who in most cases have nobody to make them experience what love is.
Looking around, I see a lot of less privileged people and physically challenged, and I am always moved to give because true wealth is not all you have acquired for yourself, it’s how much of you that you deposit in others. God has blessed us to be a blessing; He has manifested his love to us so we’d be an epitome of love to the needy, physically challenged and those with special needs. God is trusting on us to help them, and that’s why Jesus likened himself to the poor, needy, and physically challenged amongst us, and when we fail to show them love, we practically fail to show Jesus love.
For this reason, THE TONTO DIKEH FOUNDATION has organized a Christmas/New Year Carnival Celebration for internally displaced persons, physically challenged, and less privileged in Abuja.
It is themed: “10,000 smiles for Christmas.” We’d be giving out 400 wheelchairs, 300 canes for the blind, 400 party packs for kids, 300 bags of rice and provisions, etc.
The event will take place on 15th of December 2019 12 Noon at Jabi Lake Abuja,
The goal is that while we merry, the needy, less privileged and physically challenged will also have a reason to smile, and it’s so beautiful being the reason why they should smile.
