This Is Your Final Warning” – Ijaw Group Slams Comedian Klintoncod Over Attacks on Prophet Fufeyin

The Ijaw Protection Forum (IPF) has issued a blistering public statement condemning Nigerian comedian Klintoncod over his recent social media remarks allegedly mocking and defaming renowned spiritual leader, Senior Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

In a press briefing led by IPF President Alfred Ebiowei, the group described Klintoncod’s online actions as not just “reckless and shameful,” but as a direct insult to the Ijaw nation’s spiritual heritage.

“This should serve as the final warning to Mr. Klintoncod and his co-travelers. We are not idle. We will begin to respond using every legal tool at our disposal,” said Ebiowei.

🎭 A Comedian’s Critique Turns Controversial

The controversy stems from Klintoncod’s recent social media content, where he allegedly made jokes and claims against Prophet Fufeyin—some of which the IPF claims were “unprintable and defamatory.”

While comedians often rely on satire and parody, the IPF insists religious boundaries must not be crossed, especially when the subject is a revered figure within a deeply spiritual community.

“Senior Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin is more than a cleric. He is a father, a leader, and a beacon of hope to thousands across Nigeria,” Ebiowei said.

💬 “He Lacks Understanding of Spiritual Things”

Ebiowei didn’t mince words when questioning Klintoncod’s motivations and spiritual maturity:

“Mr. Klintoncod should know that spiritual things are not for carnal minds. The deep things of the Spirit are not for the physical eyes.”

🛑 IPF Vows Legal Action

The Ijaw Protection Forum emphasized that it will no longer remain silent in the face of what they call a “pattern of mockery” aimed at spiritual leaders, and promised swift legal consequences should such actions continue.

“We are actively monitoring his activity. This insult to our faith and heritage must stop,” the group warned.

🌍 Fufeyin’s Influence Beyond the Pulpit

Prophet Fufeyin, founder of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry, is known for his healing services, televised crusades, and philanthropic outreach, with donations reportedly crossing hundreds of millions of naira to aid widows, IDPs, and the underprivileged.

The IPF argued that public defamation risks undermining the good done through his ministry.

This saga touches on a broader national conversation: Where do we draw the line between comedy and cultural insensitivity? While public figures are subject to scrutiny, some argue that religious leaders should be treated with greater caution.
