Radiogad Defends Dangote, Blames Pedestrians for Careless Road Use

Media personality Radiogad has stirred reactions after coming to the defense of Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, amid public criticism.

In a post shared online, Radiogad argued that Nigerians are unfairly directing their frustrations at Dangote instead of addressing the careless behavior of some road users. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

According to him:
“Everybody is pouring out their frustration on Dangote, but they won’t blame those crossing the road carelessly. A sensible person will always look left and right before crossing.”

Social Media Reactions

His statement triggered mixed reactions, with many users debating road safety and infrastructure in Nigeria:

  • @_oxtega: “Lol the way he always faces left in his videos, that’s the same position of his brain in his skull.”

  • @THE_CRAFT3R: “The one and Deeone no difference. Feeding off people’s anger and frustrations. I waka pass.”

  • @baddestc1991: “Omo they actually cross the road like people that don’t care for their lives in Naija shaa… I just dey wonder if you guys even value your lives at all.”

  • @EmekaJeremiah1: “Where are the crosswalks in the country? Why should pedestrians have to navigate major roads on their own? Shouldn’t they have the right of way? What happens to children or adults who are simply having an off day?”

The debate has highlighted broader concerns about road safety, poor pedestrian infrastructure, and the responsibilities of both drivers and walkers in Nigeria.
