Dunsin Oyekan Speaks Out on Kwara Church Attack, Prays for Justice Amid Rising Christian Community Killings”
Gospel minister Dunsin Oyekan has expressed deep concern over the rising attacks on Christian communities in Nigeria. Taking to his official X page, the renowned singer prayed for divine justice while highlighting the cruelty and senselessness of the recent violence. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
Reports indicate that terrorists attacked a branch of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Kwara State on Tuesday evening, killing three worshippers and abducting several others, including the pastor. The attack occurred shortly after suspected Boko Haram insurgents killed eight people in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State the previous night.
Oyekan described the incidents as extremely cruel and called out the government for inadequate handling of security across the nation. He prayed for divine intervention and justice, saying:
“May the Lord judge the enemies of this nation once and for all in this season. These killings are too much, senseless, and cruel! Psalm 82:1-8 is my prayer in this season. And we have a government abi?”
The minister’s statement comes amid growing frustration on social media, with Nigerians demanding immediate and effective measures to curb the wave of attacks. Many have highlighted that the outbreak of insecurity, particularly against churches and innocent civilians, poses a serious threat to national stability and religious freedom.
Oyekan’s post underscores the urgency for both spiritual and governmental intervention as citizens continue to seek protection and justice for affected communities. The recent attacks have reignited calls for strengthened security measures, better intelligence, and proactive strategies to safeguard vulnerable populations across the country.
