Police Set to Invite Pastor Chris Okafor for Questioning Over Alleged Scandal With Doris Ogala

The Lagos State Police Command has disclosed plans to invite Pastor Chris Okafor for questioning following allegations of an alleged scandal involving Nollywood actress Doris Ogala.

The development comes amid growing public reactions and mounting pressure on the police over the controversy circulating on social media. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

Speaking on the matter, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin (or Abimbola Adebisi, depending on attribution preference), clarified that the Commissioner of Police has not ordered a formal probe into any alleged sexual scandal involving the cleric.

She explained that the police are not in possession of any official complaint regarding the allegation but acknowledged that Nigerians have been calling on the command to take action.

According to her, due to the volume of allegations and public pressure, the Commissioner of Police directed the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to invite Pastor Okafor to present his side of the story.

“The CP did not order a probe into any sexual scandal allegation. There are different allegations being levelled against the man, and we are not aware of any formal complaint,” she said.

“However, people are mounting pressure on us. There are a series of allegations touching on other related issues. So, the CP directed the State CID to investigate whether those allegations are true or not and to invite the man to come and state his own side.”

As of the time of filing this report, Pastor Chris Okafor has not publicly responded to the police invitation or the allegations.
