Vote for Tinubu in 2027, Don’t Waste Your Votes – Deputy Speaker Tells Igbos

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, has urged Nigerians of South-East extraction, particularly Igbos, to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general election, warning against what he described as “wasted votes.” Eyes Of Lagos reports,

Kalu also renewed the President’s call for unity and reconciliation within the All Progressives Congress (APC), stressing the need for internal cohesion as the party prepares for future electoral contests.

Speaking during a series of courtesy visits across Abia State, the Deputy Speaker appealed to party leaders to deepen engagement with stakeholders, strengthen party structures, and sustain reconciliation efforts nationwide.

According to him, unity within the APC remains critical to consolidating governance and ensuring electoral success in 2027.

He urged party members to put aside internal differences and work collectively to advance the party’s agenda, particularly in the South-East.

Hon. Kalu made the call on Monday while touring Abia North, Abia Central, and Abia South senatorial zones as part of efforts to reinforce party unity.

In Abia North, he paid a courtesy visit to former Abia State Governor and ex-Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.

At Abia Central, the Deputy Speaker met with Senator John Bob Nwannunu, while in Abia South, he visited APC stalwart and former Hallmark Bank Managing Director, Sir Mac Wabara.

During the engagements, Kalu reportedly emphasized that supporting President Tinubu in 2027 would better position the South-East within national politics, urging Igbos to align with the ruling party rather than remain politically isolated.

He reiterated that reconciliation and inclusion remain key pillars of Tinubu’s leadership within the APC.
