Portable Accuses Father of Exploitation, Claims He Took His Belongings

Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has publicly accused his father of exploiting him and interfering in his personal life, sparking fresh controversy around the artist’s family affairs.

In a video currently circulating on social media, the singer alleged that his father took several of his personal belongings, including his shoes and clothes, and has also laid claim to his properties. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

Portable further claimed that his father has access to the phone numbers of all his baby mamas and regularly contacts them to demand money, a situation he described as unfair and emotionally draining.

“My daddy dey like Mohbad’s dad. He has taken all my shoes and clothes, and he’s just after my properties. He has all my baby mama phone numbers and he bills them for money all the time,” the singer said.

The “Zazoo Zeh” crooner likened his experience to the family controversy involving the late singer Mohbad, suggesting what he described as a pattern of parental control and exploitation.

Portable expressed frustration over what he sees as ongoing interference in his life, claiming that his struggles persisted even while his father was present.

“You dey with me, my life still dey scatter. When you no dey with me, my life go on. You no take care of me, you no send me school. You no even pay for my learning tailor,” he added.

The video has since triggered mixed reactions across social media, with some users sympathising with the singer, while others criticised him for taking a family dispute to the public space.

As of the time of filing this report, Portable’s father has not responded to the allegations.
