Ubi Franklin Devastated as He Loses Beloved Sister to Cancer: “This Hurts Deeply”

Popular Nigerian music executive and talent manager, Ubi Franklin, is mourning the heartbreaking loss of his elder sister, who passed away after a battle with cancer. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

Taking to Instagram, Ubi shared a deeply emotional tribute, recounting how she played a major role in shaping the man he is today. He described her as a kind soul, his backbone, and the person who helped launch his journey to success.

“Today, death visited me and took one of the most precious gifts life ever handed me — my sister. The one who birthed the Ubi Franklin you all know today… one of the kindest souls I’ve ever known,” he wrote.

💔 A Painful Goodbye

Ubi revealed how their bond began to solidify after the death of their father in 2004, when he moved in with her and her husband. A trip she arranged to Lagos in 2005 changed his life, leading him into the entertainment industry.

Despite her illness, he was able to spend quality time with her from April to July. Just before he traveled to England, he said goodbye, promising to return and reunite in Lagos. Sadly, she returned to Abuja and was moved to the ICU just days later.

“While I was airborne… she passed on,” he wrote in his heartbreaking caption.

Even though her death has left a painful scar, Ubi expressed gratitude for her influence and unconditional love.

“This is one of the biggest losses of my life… But I will forever love you. And I know… you’re in a better place.”
