Entertainment blogger Cutie Juls first broke the news in an Instagram post, revealing that the respected actor died in the early hours of August 20, 2025. However, details surrounding the circumstances of his death have not yet been disclosed.
“Veteran Nollywood actor, Chief Fabian passed away this morning at the age of 82. May his gentle soul rest in peace,” the post read.
Shortly after, celebrity journalist Seun Oloketuyi also confirmed the news via Facebook, stating:
“Things Fall Apart actor Fabian Adibe is dead. 2:30am this morning. Details later.”
