PSG Sign Super Falcons Star Rasheedat Ajibade on Free Transfer

Paris Saint-Germain Women have officially announced the signing of Super Falcons captain, Rasheedat Ajibade, on a free transfer following her exit from Atlético Madrid.

The 25-year-old winger ended her five-year stint in Spain in June, during which she won the Supercopa de España and Copa de la Reina with Atlético. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

Ajibade becomes the second Nigerian to join PSG’s women’s team, alongside midfielder Jennifer Echegini.

The forward began her professional career in Norway with Avaldsnes IL, where she scored 12 goals in 39 appearances before making her move to Madrid.

On the international scene, Ajibade captained Nigeria to victory at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, where she was also named Player of the Tournament.
