Reports indicated that he crashed his newly acquired Mercedes-Benz SUV and was subsequently hospitalised. The incident allegedly followed emotional distress linked to relationship issues with his ex-girlfriend, Jarvis.
Following the crash, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) announced plans to prosecute Peller for reckless driving, distracted driving, and using a mobile phone while driving.
The accident sparked widespread concern among fans and followers, with many expressing worries about his mental and emotional well-being.
In the aftermath, Peller appealed for ₦11 million in crowdfunding to repair the damaged vehicle, reportedly valued at about ₦100 million.
Peller has since officially confirmed his breakup with Jarvis, announcing during a livestream on January 1, 2026, that they are now just friends.
According to him, the decision was driven by a need for personal growth and self-focus.
“I’m focusing on myself in 2026. I don’t want any girls around me anymore,” he said.
Despite the controversies, Peller’s promise to reward Ademola Lookman has generated mixed reactions online, with fans debating the influence of private incentives on national team performances.
