Tonto Dikeh Speaks on Reconciliation With Child’s Father After 10 Years

Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has opened up on her reconciliation with the father of her child, reflecting on what she described as a decade-long journey of pain, conflict and eventual healing.

The actress shared the emotional revelation in a lengthy social media post, where she recounted years of public disagreements, broken communication and emotional wounds before peace was finally restored. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

According to Tonto, the reconciliation came after more than ten years of bitterness and unresolved issues, stressing that human effort alone could not achieve what ultimately happened.

She explained that the healing process was not driven by strategy, confrontation or pride, but by faith, humility and prayer, which she believes led to divine intervention.

“What strength and strategy could not fix, God healed,” the actress wrote, adding that hearts were softened and pride gradually gave way to understanding.

Tonto Dikeh noted that respect returned where anger once existed, especially in consideration of their child. She described the moment as a turning point that allowed both parties to put the past behind them and focus on co-parenting peacefully.

She expressed gratitude to her child’s father, Dr Kunle, for choosing peace and yielding to what she described as God’s direction, stating that obedience played a key role in the restoration.

“I thank him for choosing peace and listening to God,” she said, emphasising that reconciliation requires willingness from both sides.

Using her experience as a message of hope, the actress encouraged people going through prolonged conflicts, particularly family-related disputes, not to lose faith.

She stressed that even situations that appear permanently broken can still be repaired with time, patience and trust in God.

“There is no situation that is beyond repair,” she wrote, adding that delayed healing does not mean denied healing.

Tonto concluded her message by describing the reconciliation as “10 years in one day,” calling it a powerful personal testimony and a reminder to others that difficult seasons do not last forever.

In her words, “God has not abandoned you, and your story is not over.”
