A Nigerian man has sparked massive reactions online after revealing that he won an astonishing ₦26 million from a ₦100 sports betting stake.
The man, identified on X (formerly Twitter) as @NextNigeriaPre, shared details of his experience, explaining that he downloaded a popular betting application on February 3, 2025, and placed a small wager that unexpectedly turned into life-changing money. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
According to him, he initially planned to deposit ₦10,000 into his betting wallet but later decided to play cautiously by staking only ₦100 on multiple football matches scheduled between February 3 and February 15.
He admitted that he did not monitor the games regularly until days later when he checked his betting slip and discovered that all matches had been completed except one, with no cash-out option available.
Describing the anxiety he felt, the bettor said he left his home without his car and walked from Gwarimpa to Lugbe in Abuja while praying and drinking sachet water, hoping the final match would go in his favour.
After returning home, he eventually discovered that his ticket had won, showing a payout of approximately ₦26 million from the ₦100 stake.
“I’m still unstable to drive since then,” he wrote, expressing shock over the unexpected win.
He also clarified that he was not promoting gambling but simply sharing what he described as a “crazy experience.”
