The late former President Muhammadu Buhari’s granddaughter, Halima Amira Junaid, is preparing to walk down the aisle with Walid Shehu Mauzu in a grand wedding ceremony scheduled to take place in Kaduna State. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
Halima is the daughter of Nana Hadiza, one of Buhari’s daughters from a previous marriage, who is now married to former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami (SAN). Hadiza, currently the third wife of the ex-AGF, was previously married to Captain Junaid Abdullahi, with whom she has six children, including Halima.
The wedding fatiha is set for August 30, 2025, and will be accompanied by a series of elegant pre-wedding activities such as a bridal soiree, Kamu ceremony, and a grand dinner.
However, it was observed that several members of the former first family were notably absent from the celebrations, raising speculations among close watchers of the Buhari family.
As the date draws closer, the wedding is expected to attract dignitaries, political figures, and well-wishers from across Nigeria.
