How the Candle Sale Happened
In the footage, prophets inside the church were seen advertising candles to the congregation while a man with a microphone kept announcing escalating prices, starting from a few hundred thousand naira to ₦1.1 million, and finally reaching ₦1.5 million.
To the shock of many members, a male worshipper eventually stood up, approached the altar, and collected the candle before kneeling down, apparently as a symbolic spiritual act.
